Majority shareholding in MA ESTRUCTURAS

THE FRENEHARD & MICHAUX® GROUPSTRENGHTENS ITS POSITION IN SPAIN BY ACQUIRING A MAJORITY STAKEIN MA ESTRUCTURAS

The Frénéhard & Michaux Industrial Group, a major player in access and safety for work at height, is acquiring the Spanish company MA ESTRUCTURAS, specialising in the rental of scaffolding with services. With more than a quarter of its turnover generated outside of France, and particularly in Europe, it is driving its international development goals by strengthening its presence and activities in Spain.

With operations in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Italy, the Frénéhard & Michaux Group now offers – under the HEIGHT WITHCONFIDENCE® concept – a unique range of products for accessing, moving around and working atheight. These solutions (ladders, light individual rolling platforms, scaffolding, guardrails, lifelines, anchoring points, mobile anchoring systems, harnesses) have been adopted by professionals in the construction and industrial sectors, who aim to ensure both safety and productivity, and they are marketed under the TUBESCACOMABI®, SECURIGARD®, SYAM®, SKYWORKS®, TENDO® and ARTUB® brands.

After acquiring a majority stake last June in Grenoble-based GAMESYSTEM®, a specialist in solutions to protect against falls from height, the Group is continuing to expand through acquisitions, with the incorporation of Spanish company MA ESTRUCTURAS, a scaffolding rental and services company with a solid reputation in its market.

Founded in 2010, MA ESTRUCTURAS is a family business with a turnover of €2.2 million and 30 employees. Based in Madrid, MA ESTRUCTURAS offers scaffolding hire and installation services for technical work sites.

The company operates mainly in the capital for the renovation market.

The deal will enable Frénéhard & Michaux to diversify its product and service offering in Spain. The Group has always grown by capitalising on its historic brands to conquer new markets, and it has its sights set on forging a leading European group with strong industrial roots.
